Oasis by the bay in Ontario is a great place to stay. The staff make your stay unique and comfortable at the same time. They have a ceiling lift system so you easy can get out of the wheelchair and into the bed. This is a unique feature I think and that’s almost worth a stay. The rooms have walk-in showers and folding benches and available wheel-in shower chairs. All bedrooms have wheel-up vanities.
The hotel has two beach wheelchairs for people who wants to get to the water’s edge and can`t do it in their own wheelchair. The beach wheelchairs can be used for other happenings also, like they can go to gras, gravel and rocks. The chair has an umbrella to protect for the sun and good comfortable seat and a footrest. But Oasis by the bay currently does not have wheelchair-friendly beach mats, or accessible docks/swimming rigs that allow for safe entry and swimming in the open water.
Parking is accessible through handicap parking. Accessible ground floor apartment style accommodation is available in our bedrooms. They also have BBQ area and fire pit area which is all accessible.
The resort has access to a wheelchair accessible van so guests can reach an activity or excursion. You can go fishing, visit the zoo, sunset boat cruise and multi-passenger pedal boat trip. Many things looking forward to if you choose to stay at Oasis by the bay in Ontario.
